Hope for the Future

We are here as a voice of encouragement for positive change in each life.

Our team of leaders are passionate about reaching young people on the streets and in juvenile detention centers who are crying out for change. We help them discover freedom from gangs, substance abuse, homelessness, violence and loneliness. They find a new identity and a brand new life in Jesus Christ.

On-Going Ministry:

Monday Night Men's Group

Men of all ages, different ethnicities, various church backgrounds or no church affiliation all gather together to listen to the Bible being taught. Everyone has something to contribute as they share their life’s stories, unique giftings, and all learn from each other. Lives are being enriched as these men grow strong bonds of friendship together.

Tuesday Night Bible Study

Starting at high school age, young people gather to enjoy a meal, worship together, and spend quality time praying for one another. Often times we need to unload the deep issues of life and ask God for replenishment. Tuesday nights enable us to care for one another and be taught refreshing truths from the Word of God. Everyone leaves feeling lighter, more hopeful. and with a longing to help others they way they themselves have been helped.

Los Prietos Boys Camp

On Friday nights, confined minors choose to attend our open-forum Bible study discussion groups and learn to listen to the Word of God being read aloud by one another. We encourage open dialog and an exchange of ideas as we teach Biblical truths in a safe setting. We welcome questions and end each session with an opportunity to invite Jesus into each life as only He can change our lives forever.

Santa Maria Juvenile Hall

Staff at this facility rotate our team into units that would most benefit from time spent learning life lessons from the Word of God. Topics such as forgiveness, how to be free from anger, and loving our enemies, spark great interest and interaction. Even after 20 years, we are still in contact with successful men and women who at one time sat in our meetings as confined but now free.

Our team of volunteers are trained and undergo a screening process through the Santa Barbara Probation Department. We ofter a leather-bound compact Bible to any and all who attend our meetings in either facility.

Widows and Orphans

Life at times leaves us with great loss and unexpected heartache. It is at these times The JUVY Project steps in to offer help in a very practical, hands-on way. We have installed water heaters, wall heaters, built fences and patios, refurbished kitchens, replaced dishwashers and refrigerators, repaired cars and tires all in the Name of Jesus.

“Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.” James 1:27

Couples Counseling

Communication is the key to healthy relationships. Listening with love is a strong emphasis in our couples groups, individual couple sessions, and in our pre-marriage and marriage counseling. Biblical perspectives saturate truth, kindness, and respect into each layer of awakening to true love as Jesus teaches.

“Love never fails” 1 Corinthians 13:8a
