The JUVY Project supports Lompoc Boxing

A young man I worked with for years, retired to start Lompoc Boxing. They help children by teaching them the importance of exercise, completing their homework assignments and listening to their parents. We have been supporting Lompoc Boxing monthly. They added The JUVY Project logo to their trunks when in competition.

Emma is turning into a great fighter and an example to the others!

We sponsor a child who turned 17yrs old.

My friend has a ministry in different parts of the world. He asked if we could support a child who was living on the streets because his parents were killed. We have been supporting him monthly since he was a little child. He has grown to be an strong young man who will be attending a trade school to learn a craft which will enable him to make a living. We are very proud of him.

Mary Ann Continues to Heal! Thank You Jesus!

We have so much to be thankful for. Mary Ann has completed all required immunotherapy treatments in addition to two successful follow-up appointments. Her oncologist is a research doctor from UCLA, as was his Dad. The most recent MRI showed no trace of cancer, Hallelujah! God is answering all of our prayers and we are so thankful.

She is still recovering at home regaining strength, but continues to lead the JUVY Project women’s Bible study in our home and chapel again at Coastline Christian Academy several times per month. To God be the glory! Her doctor has not yet released her to return to work, but encourages her to rest and heal which is a process that takes time. Thank you for your prayers and support.

Isaiah 40:31 says, “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Dedicating Children to the Lord!

The ministry continues to grow and the fruit is evident. Mike was invited to dedicate the children of two of our board members for The JUVY Project. These board members were once part of our youth group and we were their youth pastors. A very special afternoon was planned and the ceremony was beautiful. We enjoyed a delicious meal together as these families gathered around each other, supporting and encouraging each other in their walks with God.

Katy Earned Her CNA License! Thank You, Jesus!

We are so proud of Katy, one of the young ladies from The JUVY Project. We met Katy when she was in Jr High. Shortly afterward, she dedicated her life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and got water baptized. Katy still attends our weekly woman’s Bible study.

Katy recently earned her CNA License from Trinity Nursing School in Ventura. She passed her state board exam on her first try and credits Jesus for her success! Katy is now working at Cottage Hospital and Mission Park in Santa Barbara. She is still pursuing her nursing degree at Santa Barbara City College.

Los Prietos Boys Camp Closes after Eight Decades

The juvenile justice system is changing and the lower-level youth offenders are no longer being incarcerated as in the past. The population at the camp has dropped from around 30 in 2018 to only five in 2022 and 2023, resulting in an unsustainable situation. The Boys Camp was founded in 1944. The JUVY Project team offered an interactive weekly Bible study on Friday nights for 23 years. We are sad to see this closure, especially for the young men who are longing to change their lives. We are so thankful to the Lord for the tremendous opportunity and abundant fruit over the years. Santa Barbara County is going to use the camp for a Santa Barbara County fire training center in 2025.

Mary Ann and Carol

Mary Ann needed further treatment and is not currently teaching. She is responding well, and we are confident she will make a full recovery in Jesus Name!

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

The Widows and Orphans Ministry

We were asked if we could help an orphaned man in town who was living in a home that was going to be condemned. We were able to clean out his home and his property to get it ready for inspection.

Galatians 6:10 Carry one another’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the requirements of the law of Christ [that is, the law of Christian love].
